Fernhurst Tennis Club - WIMBLEDON TICKETS

2020 Ballot
The 2020 Wimbledon ballot is open to those members who have "opted in" on the LTA website to be eligible for tickets.
"Opt-in" is from Monday, 9th September 2019 - Friday, 14th February 2020 - you have to be in it to win it!

The Fernhurst Tennis Club draw will be held in April at 12 noon in the Pavilion, date to be advised.

Conduct of the Ballot.  All members will be asked beforehand whether they wish to take part and whether they have any constraints (either date or cost) as to which tickets they wish to be eligible for (Please keep this as simple as possible!)  If you are unable to attend the draw you must nominate another member to act as your proxy on the day.  The first name out of the hat will be offered the pick of the tickets and that name will not go back into the hat.  The process will continue until all tickets have been drawn.  A number of reserve names will also be drawn.

.  Payment will need to be made directly to the LTA within 14 days using their on-line system, all details will be sent to each successful member.  If payment is not received then the tickets will be offered to the first-drawn reserve.

Additional tickets. Sometimes extra tickets become available after the main ballot has been drawn.  These will be offered first to the reserve names drawn at the main ballot and, if not then taken up, offered generally to all eligible members on a first come, first served basis

Wimbledon Tickets

The Club is affiliated to the LTA, one of the advantages of which is that the Club is allocated a certain number of tickets for the Wimbledon Championships.  The allocation normally comes out in late March, we then hold a ballot in April whereby these are distributed amongst those members who have 'opted in' and applied to enter.  The tickets are allocated in pairs.

Eligibility.  To enter the ballot you must be a fully paid-up member of the Club (but not just a Social member) for the relevant year as well as being a British Tennis Member (BTM) with a BTM number.  British tennis Membership is a privilege that is granted free by the LTA to affiliated clubs (like Fernhurst) via a reasonably straightforward on-line system as detailed below.
All BTMs, including children, are eligible to enter (children under 18 are not allowed to attend the Championships unaccompanied) and there is no need to be physically present at the draw.
